Caroline "Carrie" E. (Blake) Butler (b.1835 - d.1920) was born in New Hampshire on October 6, 1835. She married General Thomas J. Butler of Prescott, Arizona in 1880. Her maiden name was Miss Caroline E."Carrie" Blake of Boston, Massachusetts.
Caroline was an officer and organist for the Order of the Eastern Star in Prescott, Arizona. She was also appointed as one of the lady Commissioners for Arizona to the Chicago World's Fair (World's Columbian Exposition) of 1893.
General Butler served for many years as the Territorial Treasurer in Arizona Territory. He was also part-owner, publisher and editor of the Arizona Weekly Miner from 1875-76.
Mrs. Butler died on June 15, 1920 in California.
