Frances “Fannie” Dallam (Blandy) Claypool was born April 23, 1867, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sarah Lloyd and John Fredrick Blandy. With her sister, Bessie, Fannie came to Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, in 1890 to create a home for their recently widowed father, a mining engineer. The trip began on a train and ended on a stagecoach. Their father died September 23, 1903, in Prescott.

Florence Frances (Pafford) Cline was born on August 17, 1892, in Del Rio, Val Verde County, Texas the daughter of Marion and Teresa Pafford. She married William James Cline on September 28, 1910, in Alpine, Texas. They had two children, both born in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas: William, Jr., born November 1, 1913, and Luresa L. (Mrs. Robert) Armour born July 22, 1920.

Ophelia (Peterson) Close was born on July 14, 1877, in Longview, Gregg County, Texas, the daughter of George W. Peterson (1820-1898) and Lucinda Jeffrey (1837-?). George was a farmer from North Carolina and Lucinda came from Georgia. The family lived in Hallsville, Harrison County, Texas. All Ophelia's siblings were born in Texas; they were Thomas, Angie, Charlie, John, Shaw, and Effie, Ophelia being the youngest child.

Mary Jane (Alexander) Clough, the daughter of pioneers Thomas M. and Catharine (Scott) Alexander, was born on November 22, 1852, in Brown County, Illinois.  She moved with her family to Prescott in 1864. The Alexander family was one of the first to settle in the area.

Alvina E. (Bennett) Mackin Clyburn was born April 22, 1883, at the site of Banning Creek that is now covered by Goldwater Lake. Her parents were Charles Henry and Alvina Maria (Rodriguez) Bennett.

On April 2, 1902, she married Peter Mackin, superintendent of Silver King Mine. They owned a ranch and Old Halfway House in the Groom Creek area; this was a stagecoach stop, with overnight accommodations.  

Rose Mary (Defilippi) Hess Clyburn was born on May 30, 1901, to Antonio and Maria (Guilio) Defilippi in Jerome, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory. Both her parents were born in Italy. Rose Mary was one of five children born to the Deflippi family. She grew up in Jerome, but attended the Prescott Free Academy through eighth grade, boarding in Prescott during the school term.  She attended high school in Berkeley, California.

Rosannah “Rose” (Mack) Prey Coates was born March 27, 1879, in Toma, Iowa, the daughter of Sarah Amelia Hatfield and Spellman Fremont Mack.The family was living in Richland, Tama County, Iowa when the 1880 census was taken.  She was raised in Kansas. When she was fifteen, she became the bride of Albert Prey in a marriage that was arranged by her father.

Laura A. (Hopper) Wall Cochran was born on August 6, 1892 in Fort Stanton, Lincoln County, New Mexico, the daughter of Robert Monroe and Elizabeth (Russell) Hopper.  She grew up at Camp Verde, Arizona Territory where her father conducted a mercantile business. She graduated from Northern Arizona Teachers College in Flagstaff and took a course at Lamson’s Business College in Phoenix before teaching.

Inocentie (Leivas) Contreras was born on December 28, 1892, in Signal, Mohave County, Arizona Territory, to Henry Koshland and Tula Leivas.  Her father died March 7, 1896. She attended school and spent her childhood in Signal. She married Edward P. Contreras on September 16, 1910, at Signal. They lived on the Bozarth cattle ranch in Wild Horse Basin in Yavapai County.

Lillie Elizabeth (Murphy) Cook was born on April 24, 1897, in a home on the southwest corner of Gurley and McCormick Streets in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, to Henry and Cynthia Elizabeth Alfred Murphy. She was the child of a typical ranching family, so her address changed year-to-year as they rented a place to live in town in order to send Lillie and her brothers to school.
