Catherine “Kate“ Cecilia (Healy) Bennett, the daughter of Annie Simon and Barney Philip Healy, was born September 5, 1891, in Olmitz, Kansas. She came with her family to Goodwin, Arizona, in 1895 from New Mexico. The second child in the family, Kate, was given many chores to do around the house such as getting in the wood and packing water into the house. 

Carrie M. (Welch) Bianconi was born in Mobile, Alabama, on September 16, 1900. Her parents, John O. and Mary E. Welch, came to Gilbert, Maricopa County, Arizona Territory, in 1907. They had four children: Carrie, Bert, Myrtle and Owen. 

Margaret “Maggie” (Wickson) Bigelow was born on September 15, 1880, in Higgins, Texas to Robert W. and Sarah E. (Porter) Wickson. At the age of sixteen, Maggie married William Rufus Bigelow on August 29, 1897, in Grand, Day County, Oklahoma Territory. After the wedding, the couple lived in Oklahoma for a few years, where they had their first three children, Louise, Ernestine and Edna.  The family had moved to Lipscomb County, Texas when the census was taken June 1900.

Sophia (Banay, alternate spellings of Banyay and Banjay) Bisjak was born April 9, 1878, in Hungary.  She came to America alone at the age of eighteen, and her parents are unknown. 

She married Anton Bisjak on February 5, 1910, at the St. Michael Hotel in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory.

Elizabeth “Bessie” Blandy was born April 13, 1859, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sarah (Lloyd) and John Fredrick Blandy. Bessie and her sister Frances left Philadelphia and headed to Arizona Territory to set up a home for their recently widowed father, a mining engineer, who had been appointed geologist for Yavapai County, Arizona Territory in April 1889 by Governor Wolfley . They traveled first by train and then by stagecoach, arriving in Prescott in 1890. The Blandy home still stands at 127 S. Mount Vernon Street.

Martha “Mattie” Anna (Lederer) Blanton was born on May 24, 1881, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Wilhelm and Minnie Lederer. Orphaned at an early age, she was placed in an orphanage and later in several foster homes where she learned to cook.

Melvina "Millie" or “Nellie” (Norman) Farra/Ferra Boblett was born July 13, 1877, in Rossville, Vermillion County, Illinois, to Jefferson Manley and Martha Ellen (Westfall) Norman. She married Levi Farra on March 12, 1893, in Lawrence County, Tennessee.  Levi and Nellie had three children in the 1890s:  Ollie was born on June 10, 1894; Leslie was born in 1896; and Norman was born March 30, 1899.  Nellie and the children were enumerated on the June 1900 census in Guilford, Tuscola County, Michigan.

Bertha Josephine “Pete” (Rosenblatt) Scholey Boone was born April 30, 1908, in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory. She was the third of six children born to Paul Gerhardt and Dora Cordelia (Leach) Rosenblatt.

Paul, who was hoping for a son after Cordelia or “Delia” presented him with two daughters, named his third child Bertha Josephine in honor of his youngest sister. Soon, however, the namesake baby was nicknamed “Pete,” as was her father. She was “Pete” for the rest of her life.

Bessie Ethel (Hatz) Bork was born June 8, 1879, in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, the daughter of Catherine Shanberger and Daniel Hatz.  Her father was one of the builders of the Governor’s Mansion, which now is a center piece of the Sharlot Hall Museum.  Bessie was a stenographer for Judge J. J. Hawkins for a time. After studying in San Diego, she taught at Ash Fork, Skull Valley and Groom Creek.

Margaret Barney (Johnston) Born was born December 5, 1876, in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of James Bower and Ella (Johnson) Johnston. By 1880, the family had moved to Waterloo, Lyon County, Kansas, where her father was a farmer.
