Fred Reif Jr. was born January 4th 1899 to the Prescott pioneer family of Fred Reif Sr. and his wife Marie (Carque) Reif. Fred Reif Sr. was the first barber in Prescott.
Fred Jr. followed his father into the family Barber shop and was employed there until his untimely death January 14, 1934. He was Fire Chief at the time of his death, a position he had begun in 1933. Fred Jr. died of Pneumonia at the age of 35.
