Mary Harter (b.1856 - d. 1948) was born September 4, 1856 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of John Brown, birthplace unknown. Her mother is unknown.
Mary married John Joyce Harter around approximately 1876. She was the mother of seven children, three surviving named John Harter, Katherine Harter and Henry Harter.
Census records show she lived in Prescott (Whipple Heights), Congress and Phoenix, Arizona.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "Mary Harter".
Mary died on November 7,1948 in Phoenix. She is buried in the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.
