Opal (Tenney) Allen (b. 1913 – d. xxxx) was born in Sunset, Arizona, on March 29, 1913 to Nathan and Myrtle Tenny.  When Opal was twelve years old, the family moved to Prescott. She married Everett Lee Goodman on November 30, 1932.  The family moved to Idaho in 1942 where she lived until 1960.  Her husband passed away in 1957, leaving her a widow with seven unmarried children.  In 1960, she married Merle M. Allen of Prescott.  Opal is known as the “Mother of Yavapai College” for all the diligent work she did for the College’s foundation. She also served on the Republican Precinct Committee for sixty-five (65) years. She passed away on March 27, 2008.
