Joe "Jose" Louis Apolinar, Jr. (b. 1936 - d. 2018) was born in Prescott on April 5, 1936, and was the eldest remaining Apolinar of eighteen children born to Lucia (Garcia) and Jose Luiz Apolinar, Sr. Joe’s parents were of Latino heritage and his father was born in Arizona. Hence, Joe was a true Arizona native, born on Madison Street in Prescott and lived his entire life in the Arizona. He was dafted into the Army in 1959 and when he returned to Prescott, he worked at the Mallin Brothers scrap yard for many years. On March 2, 2018, Joe passed away in Chino Valley.
