Gertrude "Gertie" (Calhoun) Hammers (b. 1879 - d. 1947) was the daughter of Mary E. Calhoun (b. 1855 - d. 1895) and George M. Calhoun (also spelled Calhoon) (b. 1851 - d. unknown), born in Kansas. Her brother, Eugene, graduated from high school in Wichita, Kansas in 1901, and moved to Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. She married Frederic Ketcham Hammers (b. 1866 - d. 1945).
Gertie had this photograph taken in Kansas for the 1895 state census.Gertrude is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
