Description

George R. Porter (b.1868-d.1894) is the son of Edward T. Porter and Lucie McBratney. George was the first cousin of Loring (Loren) Trott. Lucie was the sister of Josephine McBratney Trott.

Loring (Loren) Trott (b. 1869-d. 1948) was born August 31, 1869 in Junction City, Kansas; died January 5, 1948 in San Diego, California. He was the son of Josephine McBratney Trott and Charles H. Trott. He married Wilmina Jessie Mary Tyler who was born September 9, 1877 in Dubuque, Iowa; died January 11, 1959 in San Diego, California. Educated in local schools, he graduated from Lombard University in Galesburg, Illinois. For about 10 years he was in business in Denver and then returned to Junction City to join his father in the Trott book and sationery store. He was a member of the State Senate, a Knight Templar Mason, and a member of the Mystic Shrine.
