Photo of Clarence Boynton and Marquita Anthony, which is believed to have been taken in Jamestown, Rhode Island before their marriage in 1912.
In 1913 the Boyntons took a 1,000-mile automobile tour of Arizona in a 1913 Model SA25 Studebaker vehicle. During the fall of that year the Boyntons traveled with their friends Dr. William Warner Watkins, his wife Bessie and their nine-month-old daughter Merial in Watkins's Studebaker. This trip lasted 36 days, with several days of delays due to breakdowns, unplanned stops, and other misadventures.
