Ralph B. Coffee (b. 1909 – d. 1950) was born in Wyoming. He was a well known Prescott restaurant owner. He married Peggy Hayden in 1911. After living in Santa Monica, California and operating a restaurant there, Mr. Coffee returned to Prescott in 1927 where he was employed at the Hassayampa Buffet. He then bought a North Cortez Street bar and buffet and renamed it “Ralph's Buffet” and then bought another restaurant and operated it.
In 1942, he entered the armed forces and served with the amphibious engineers. His father, Sam, was a Prescott carpenter and contractor.
While on a business trip, Ralph B. Coffee died April 19, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had two children at home at the time of his death, Ralph Hayden and Michael Ray. In addition to his wife and children, he was survived by his parents and the following siblings: Ray F. (Benson, Arizona), Leonard L. (Los Angeles, California), Charles L. (Phoenix, Arizona), Estell Goddard (Cottonwood, Arizona) and Delores Heady (Honolulu, Hawaii).
