Description

George Henry "Gerhard" Schuerman, Prescott Fire Department Chief.

Schuerman arrived in Prescott, Arizona Territory, in 1884. He and a cousin, Henry Schuerman, purchased the Prescott landmark hotel Sherman House. Schuerman also owned a large agricultural and stock farm in nearby Peoples Valley (now known as Peeples Valley) and mining interests in the Verde mining district.
