Description

Mary (Bowers) Reid (b.1865 - d. unknown) was born in Illinois. Her mother was born in Illinois and her father was born in Germany, parents' names unknown.

She was the niece of John Mars of Agua Fria, Arizona. He was a pioneer resident of Agua Fria and was in the cattle business.

Mary married James A. Reid on March 29, 1891 in Prescott, Arizona.

James A. Reid (b.1852 - d. unknown) was born in West Virginia in 1852. His father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in West Virginia. Parents' names and birth years unknown.

Handwriting on back of photograph reads: "J.A. Ried and bride Mary Bowers Ried-niece of John Marrs of Agua Fria. Reid Cattle Ranch was south of herndon and watered by shallow wells and was especially good. Mary in her wedding dress."
