Description

Aline B. Phillips (b. 1899 - d. ?) was married to John Charles Phillips (b. 1893 - d. 1935).She was born in 1899 in S. Carolina. In 1930 the Phillips family was living in Phoenix, Arizona and John was an undertaker. They had three sons, J. Charles, James S. and William W.

John Charles was born in October, 1893 in Black River, Cumberland County, N. Carolina. He served in WWI with the Band Corp, 316 Field Artillery Arty., 81st Infantry Division, called the "Wildcat" Division. Organized in August, 1917, approximately one-third of the drafted soldiers were N. Carolinians.

His father was John L. Phillips; his mother, Rowena Temple. He had seven siblings and one half-sibling. He died November 20, 1935 at age 42 and is buried at the National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
