Miss Pedgrift on a bicycle. She appears to be wearing a sports outfit similiar to those worn by Prescott High School students of the era. She is probably one of the two daughters of Sarah J. Pedgrift and Samuel Pedgrift. The two daughters were: Florence M. (b. 1876) and Jennie (b. 1878).
The 1880 census shows the Pedgrift family as living in Leadville, Colorado. The family then moved to Oregon and arrived in Prescott about 1894. Sarah, the mother, died of diabetes March 31, 1895 at age 44. Her health had been poor for the three years preceeding her death. She is buried in Citizens Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona.
