Emma Marie (Stewart) Elliot Hazard (b. 1882 - d. 1978) was born on June 9, 1892 in Paola, Kansas. In 1893, she moved with her parents to Tempe, Arizona. She married homesteader and farmer Reginald Elliott (b. 1887 - d. 1922) in 1913 and had three daughters, Helen Louise (Elliott) Painter Polingo (b. 1918), Hazel Marrie (Elliott) Owens (b. 1920), and Florence Maude Elliott (b. 1915 - d. 1917). The Elliott family homesteaaded in Tempe. In 1922, Emma divorced Reginald and later married contractor and builder Harry Allen Hazard (b. 1883 - d. 1971) in 1930.
Emma died on June 5, 1978 and is buried at the Double Butte Cemetery in Tempe.
