Minnie Belle (Waters) Robb Hesla (b.1868 - d. 1949) was born in Rose Hill, Iowa on April 26, 1868. She was the daughter of Dr. S. B. Waters, born in Pennsylvania, and Evaline Jarvis, born in Indiana.
Minnie's first husband, Mr. Robb, died and left her with a son, Charles Robb, who later became Mayor of Prescott.
On May 5, 1892 Minnie married Olaf Andrew Hesla, an optometrist and jeweler in Wapello, Iowa. They had a daughter, Irene (Hesla) Elsner Tennebaum.
They came to Arizona in 1897 and settled in Prescott. They built a home on Mt. Vernon Street. Minnie was one of the founders of the Monday Club and Treasurer of the Public Library Board. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the First Congregational Church. Minnie liked to drive the family's electric car.
Minnie died on August 28, 1949 in Prescott.
Burial at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott.
Irene (Hesla) Elsner Tennebaum (b.1893 - d. 1978) was born on January 3, 1893 in Tama, Iowa. She was the daughter of Minnie Belle (Waters) Hesla, born in Iowa on April 26, 1868 and Olaf A. Hesla, born in Iowa 1868.
Irene married Max Elsner (b. 1892 - d. 1990) in 1912 and they had two children: Maxine Elsner and Andrew Elsner. Irene and Max divorced.
She then married Sam Tennebaum (b. 1895 - d. 1971) in 1923.
Irene died in Los Angeles, California on June 5, 1978.
Burial unknown.
