The Yavapai Savings and Loan Association filed for articles of incorporation in March 1962 and opened for business in June 1963 at 108 North Cortez Street in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona. Its first president was Ralph Spiker. In August, the bank reportedly moved into new quarters at 122 N. Cortez Street, although by 1974, it was listed again at 108 N. Cortez Street. At some point the association was evidently purchased by Canyon Savings and Loan Association, whose business address was the same. The latter association became inactive at this address as of December 31, 1981, and then relocated to Gurley Street in Prescott.
