Carrie Winslow (Sadler) Tillinghast (b. 1905 - d. 1971) was born April 27, 1905 in Providence, Rhode Island. She moved to Arizona in 1959 and to Prescott, Arizona in 1960. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Church of Christ.
She was married to Leroy Lincoln Tillinghast (b. 1895 - d. 1968) who was born February 28, 1895 in Rhode Island and died May 5, 1968 in Prescott. His first wife was Marjorie (or Margrary) L. Lockwood. They had one daughter, Frances, born in 1920. The U. S. Census shows them in the same household 1920, 1925 and 1930. The 1940 census lists Leroy as widowed and living with his father, Frank W. Tillinghast. Marjorie, however, did not die until March 27, 1964 in Alabama.
Carrie died at Yavapai Community Hospital in Prescott on February 9, 1971. Her obituary shows that she was survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Frances Tillinghast Danner of Sarasota, Florida. Carrie and Leroy share a headstone at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
