Description

Information on the back of the photograph provides the following: May Donaldson (known as "Big May") was a piano player and entertainer who worked for Johnie and Bert McCoy (from Oxnard, California) in the Wellington Saloon from 1903-1906. The Wellington Saloon was located about where the Green Frog Cafe was located on Whiskey Row in Prescott, Arizona. (In 2018, the Arts Prescott Gallery was located at that location).

May married Frank Nevins, an undertaker, on July 13, 1906. George Ruffner bought out Nevins and Nevins and his wife moved to Las Vegas.
