Description

George Chapman may be a relative of Henry "Harry" Melville Chapman (b. 1867 - d. 1946). Henry was the son of William H. and Cora B. (Hall) Chapman. He married Eunice Blanche Emma Farrington (b. February 13, 1874 - d. October 7, 1965) on November 21, 1900 in Phoenix. At the time of their marriage, Henry was secretary of the Phoenix board of trade and of the Phoenix Library Association. They had four children: Dorothea (b. 1901 - d. 1903), Mary Emma (b. 1908 - d. 1950), Lenora (b. 1910- ), and Doris (b. 1902 - d. 2002).

This photo was taken by J. Q. A. Tresize, of Springfield, Illinois. (The studio was previously in Zanesville, Ohio (1856-60).) The photographer also took photos of Abraham Lincoln.
