This photograph shows a stage in the construction of Goldwater Dam. The dam was built in the 1930s as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project. Goldwater Dam is located approximately 4 miles south of downtown Prescott, Arizona on Bannon Creek. The dam forms a reservoir of about 25 acres.
