Walnut Creek Cemetery, aka Camp Hualapai Cemetery, has had its name changed with the tide of military and civilian activity in the area. It could have started out as a military cemetery. Camp Hualapai was abandoned by the military in 1873. Civilian headstones are dated 1881-1897, and there are nine visible graves; but there may be military graves there as well.
Marilla Jane Rogers was the wife of the postmaster/teacher Samuel Curtis Rogers.
Edward D. Scholey operated the way station at Walnut Creek.
Roland Scholey was the 3 year old son of Edward Scholey.
