Description

Daisy Belle (Dayton) Clifford (b. 1880 - d. 1966) was born August 16, 1880, in Chapin, Illinois. She moved to Prescott, Arizona around 1900. Daisy was a very popular lady in Prescott who worked as a clerk in the legislature. Her marriage in Prescott to Alva Bertram "Burt" Clifford, also of Prescott, occurred on March 20, 1905. Burt was employed by Goldwater Brothers and D. Levy and Company. They had no children. They moved from Prescott to Los Angeles in 1907.

Handwriting on back of photo reads: "Mrs. Daisy B. Clifford lived in Prescott, approx 1900-before and after was a stenographer and served under former Gov Stuart in the legislature assembly at Phoenix  when in session."

Daisy died in 1966 and is buried at Paso Robles District Cemetery in Paso Robles, California.
