Kenneth "Ken" Roeland Kimsey was born on September 27, 1934. He was the first professional Director of the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona from 1973-1988. He promoted a cataloging system for artifacts, extended the museum hours, enhanced security, produced a newsletter and encouraged staff to attend professional workshops and conferences. He began the annual Folk Arts Fair in 1974 to promote attendance to the museum and to educate its visitors about their significance to the past and their relevance to the present.
