Written on the front is "American soldier killed by Indians Chloride, Ariz."

On the back of the postcard is written: "This picture is the grave of the prospectors who were killed by Indians on the west side of Selner Hill in Chloride, Arizona. The photographer has labeled the picture wrong. Story told by John Reggs to Robert West (1941)."
