Description

This photo shows Sarah Elizabeth (Brown) Davis (b. 1860 - d. 1893) gravestone and crypt is located at her former home, which was the Davis Ranch, located in Verde Valley. She was the wife of John Davis, a rancher and vineyard owner in the Verde Valley who was also a member of the 12th Arizona Territorial Legislature.  John and Sarah were married on July 29, 1877. Sarah died on November 15, 1893, and was buried on the Davis Ranch, which was later named the Verde Valley Ranch.

Today [2023] the grave is on private property owned by the Salt River Project (SRP) and cannot be visited without permission.
