This photo shows a night time establishing shot of The Pine Cone Inn restaurant and parking lot located on White Spar Road (State Route 89) in Prescott, Arizona, about two miles south of the downtown.
The Pine Cone Inn, a popular restaurant and tavern located at 1245 White Spar Road/Highway 89 and owned by Bob Dunbar, had its grand opening on July 28, 1938. The original building, constructed in 1931, was called the Bradshaw Inn, but in 1937 it was renamed the White Mink Inn. In 1947, Dunbar sold the Pine Cone Inn to one of his employees, Jack Branch. Branch and his wife Laura operated the establishment for many years, and their son John “Twig” Branch and his wife Linda continued to run the business, adding a new room called The Gold Room with stained glass and other lavish fixtures. Twig and Linda ran the Pine Cone Inn until 2003, when they retired and sold out to Lars and Laura Hamilton.
Since then, the Pine Cone Inn has changed hands several times, and subsequent owners have included Tony Ebarb and Jeff Hardin. In 2015, a forgotten cache of vintage wine was discovered hidden in a corner in the cellar. In 2017, Ebarb sold the business the Aldaco family, who renamed the building and business Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant.
