The Dong Wah Company Groceries was a Chinese grocery located on Goodwin and Granite Streets in Prescott. The building was a former Joss House or Chinese Temple.
Dong Wah Company Groceries reflected a cultural presence of the Chinese in Prescott. The first Chinese immigrants arrived during the late 1860s. During the 1890s, a Sunday School class at the First Congregational Church started to teach English to Chinese students. Prescott's Chinese population faced nativism from Anglo settlers.
