This image shows the Arizona exhibit at the Century of Progress International Exposition (aka Chicago's World Fair) in Chicago, Illinois.
The Arizona exhibit was housed in the Travel and Transport building at the Exposition. This space was provided through the courtesy of the Rock Island Lines (railway company). The Exposition opened on May 27, 1933 and closed on October 31, 1934. The Arizona exhibit displayed several types of cacti and plants from the Arizona desert lands, Native American tribal artifacts such as a Navajo rug, copper, lead, zinc and other mineral specimans, photographs and an artistic painting show the different geological environments of Arizona and a large map of the state.
