This photo is of a mule train at the Grand Canyon starting at the trailhead of Bright Angel Trail. It is dated July 6, 1929.
The back of the photo notes that Asahel Hinshaw and Maude Sanders are among the group. Mr. Hinshaw was an electrician from Happy Jack, California, and he and Maude Sanders were married on September 18, 1929. They lived in Phoenix for a time. Mr. Hinshaw passed away in 1959, while Mrs. Hinshaw died in 1993.
