Description

Edward V. Hall and two men each on horseback. Edward is on the right.

EDWARD VERNON HALL  (b. March 11, 1874--d. September 26, 1928) was the son of James and Adeline Hall, and younger brother of Sharlot Hall.  He worked as a mining engineer in Mexico, and on October 19, 1908 in Mexico City, he married Petra Acosta and moved to Tucson.  His marriage to a Mexican girl was the immediate cause of his estrangement with his prominent sister.

Edward, or Ted (as he was called), and Petra moved to Tucson where he worked as a mechanic.  They had seven children, and descendants of the family still live in the Tucson area.  He died on September 26, 1928, and is buried in Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, although there is a small marker for him in the Hall family plot in Prescott.  Petra died on September 6, 1959 in Tucson.
