Description

James A. Tobin (b. 1848 - d. 1922) was born in Buffalo, Erie, New York. He married Mary Elizabeth Rupert in 1874 in Michigan. They arrived in Prescott in 1879. He was the superintendent for the Geo W. Curtis saw mill. He worked as a shipping clerk at the time of his death, July 10, 1922. He died in Prescott and is buried at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery. The headstone lists both his and his wife's names. His wife died in 1907. In some records he is shown as James E. Tobin, or J. E. Tobin.
