Sir Gilbert Parker was a well-known British novelist and Member of the British Parliament. He made at least two visits to Prescott, in 1912 and again in 1922. He died in 1932 in London.
Charles Howard owned and operated the Electric Theatre on Cortez Street in Prescott beginning in 1907, and took over management of the Elks Opera House in 1910. Very little is known of his background at this time.
