The grave site of Mary Catherine Brooks (b. 1836 - d. 1891) at the Aztlan Lodge No. 1 Masonic Cemetery in Prescott.

Mary arrived with her husband, Dr. Charles Leib, in Central Arizona in late 1863. Dr. Leib was attached to the first military party at Fort Whipple until January 1865, when he died of an unspecified illness. Mary stayed in Prescott and met Hezekiah Brooks, whom she married in 1867. Unable to have children of their own, they adopted an orphan Native American child whose mother had been killed in a military raid and named her Bessie.
