Coleman Children

The children are Thomas, age 14, David, age 12, William, age 10 and Richard, age 9. They are the sons of Richard Robert Coleman, born in Athens, Pennsylvania in 1854, and Clara (Lynch), born in Illinois in 1867.

Thomas Lynch Coleman (b. 1889 - d.1974) was born on July 15, 1889 in Wichita, Kansas.

At the time he registered for the WWI Draft, he was a geologist for the Carter Oil Company in Oklahoma. He served as a Second Lieutenant in the Oklahoma National Guard. Thomas married Frances Jones on September 12, 1925 in Carter, Oklahoma. They had two sons and one daugter. He worked as a geologist for the Carter Oil company and later as a petroleum engineer for the U.S. Geological Survey.

Handwriting on photograph reads:"Dear Mr...., Compliments of Tom, David, William and Richard Coleman. Ages-14-12-10 and 9 years-Sept-1903."

Thomas died on June 4, 1974 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was interred at St. John's Episcopal Church Columbarium.

David Coleman (b.1891 - d.1978) was born on May 2, 1891 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He married Helen Gobel in Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 31, 1915. They had one child.

David's occupations included being a plant supervisor at the Dupont Company in Parlin, New Jersey, an engineer at a chemical company in Berkeley, California, and chief engineer at an ink company in Berkeley.

David died on October 14, 1978 in Orange, California. Location of burial unknown.

William Prescott Coleman (b.1894 - d.1982) was born on March 1, 1894 in Prescott, Arizona.

His occupations were as the vice-president of a truck wheels company, mixing house foreman at the Dupont Powder Company in Parlin, New Jersey, and as a property manager of apartment houses and at a real estate company.

By 1940, he had a wife, Laurie. 

William died on October 21, 1982 in Laguna Hills, California. Burial location unknown.

Richard Robert Coleman, Jr (b.1895 - d.1934) was born on March 1, 1895 in Prescott, Arizona.

During WWI he was a student at Stanford University in California. He later had occupations as a bonds salesman and as a field executive for the General Motors Company.

Richard died on August 10, 1934 in Nueces, Texas. Burial location unknown.
