W. W. Vanderbilt (b.1857 - d.1907) was born William Webster Vanderbilt in 1857 in Memphis, Tennessee.
He lived in Prescott, Arizona for several years, arriving on April 7, 1877. He was a carpenter by trade. While here, he was involved with mining and as a salesman in various businesses. He leased the Comet Saloon in Prescott in 1896.
"Billy", as he was called by his friends, married Anna Schuerman on November 20, 1901 in Manhattan, New York.
Billy was a generous citizen of Prescott and took a prominent part in nearly all public events such as celebrations and big social events. He was in the July 4th, 1893 procession in Prescott with Governor Brodie, W.O. O'Neil (Buckey O'Neil) and the 11th Infantry Band from Fort Whipple.

W.W. died in August, 1907 in New York City, where he lived for approximately the last nine years of his life. He was cremated and interred at the Fresh Pond Crematory and Columbarium in Middle Village, New York.
