Description

Noah C. Shekels (b.1842 - d.1923) was born on June 19, 1842 in Stark, Ohio. He was the son of John Shekels, born in 1808 in Pennsylvania, and Elizabeth (Yant) Shekels, born in 1812 in Ohio.

Noah married Belle Skinkle on July 1, 1877 in Williamson Valley, Arizona.

He was living in Pinal, Arizona in 1880 and working as a merchant. He voted in Yavapai County, Arizona in 1888. He was a resident of Los Angeles, California from 1900 to the time of his death and was working as a mining engineer and president of a mining company.

Handwriting on photograph reads: "Noah C. Shekels-prominent mining man, also engaged in the lumber business very extensively". 

Noah died on February 14, 1923 in Los Angeles. He was buried there in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
