Description

Cyra Familyand Winnie Cartmell at the A & A mine.

Estelle Cyra (b.1906 - d.1988) was born on May 17, 1906 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of James Adolph Cyra, born in Germany in 1875, and Sybil (Campbell) Cyar, born in Michigan in 1880.

The family was living in Prescott, Arizona, as recorded by the 1910 U.S. Census. Estelle was a member of the Y.W.C.A. Prescott Mile Hi club in 1922. She attended the Arizona Normal School and graduated as a teacher in 1925. Estelle was a member of Eastern Star in Phoenix in 1929. She was listed on the 1930 U.S. Census in Jerome, Arizona as a grade school teacher.

Handwriting on photograph reads:"Mrs. Cyra in the car. Estell Cyra and Winnie Cartmell".

Estelle moved to Mackinaw City, Michigan. She died there on March 17, 1988 and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery.

Winifred "Winnie" Cartmell (b.1879 - d.1963) was born in Prescott, Arizona on March 21, 1879. She was the daughter of Robert Connell, born in Arkansas, and Lucretia (Golliher) Connell, born in Illinois.

Winnie married Robert Cartmell in Prescott on April 25, 1914.

She and her husband were living in Jerome, Arizona at the time of the 1920 U.S. Census. She continued to live in Yavapai County, Arizona.

Winnie died on July 30, 1963 in Prescott and was buried there in the Masonic Cemetery.

Jimmy Cyra (b. 1918 - d.1934) was born on December 7, 1918 in Prescott, Arizona. He was the son of James Adolph Cyra, born in Germany in 1975, and Sybil (Campbell) Cyra, born in Michigan in 1880.

Handwriting on photograph reads: "Jimmy and Isabell Cyra at the A & A, 1923."

Jimmy died of tuberculosis in Jerome, Arizona on May 16, 1934.

Isabel Cyra (b.1914 - d.1996) was born on November 3, 1914 in Prescott, Arizona.  She was the daughter of James Adolph Cyra, born in Germany in 1975, and Sybil (Campbell) Cyra, born in Michigan in 1880.

Isabel married Harold Lapthorne in Glendale, Arizona on November 2, 1930. They had three sons and one daughter.

Isabel died on August 2, 1996 in King, Washington.
