Albert Wollenberg (b.1874 - d.1880) was born on December 11, 1874 in Monterey County, California. He was the son of Louis Wollenberg, born in Prussia, Iowa in 1841 and Fanny (Kalischer) Wollenberg, born in Poland in 1851.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "Albert Wollenberg 1979."
Albert died tragically on August 27, 1880 in Prescott, Arizona when he was crushed to death by a wagon while playing with his friends. The newspaper account about the funeral reported "Michael Goldwater, Esq., acting as master of ceremonies in absence of clergman of the Israelitish faith, read the scriptures in Hebrew..."
Albert was buried at the Masonic Cemetery in Prescott.
