Lyman Oscar Phippeny (b. 1873 – d. 1846) was born November 21, 1873 (or October 21, 1873). His parents were Charles Lee and Lucy Jane Hurd Phippeny; they were married about 1870 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Lyman was registered to vote in Yavapai County starting in 1898, followed by 1902, 1908, 1918, and 1926. He married Annie Neely June 15, 1899 in Buckeye, Maricopa County, Arizona. Annie was born in 1877 and died of typhoid fever October 10, 1902 at age 25. She is buried in Citizens Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona. They had one son, Ernest Robert Phippeny (b. 1900 – d. 1976).
Lyman had four siblings: Dorcas Belle Phippeny (b. 1868 – d. 1959), Oliver Lee Phippeny (b. 1871 – d. 1954) and George S. Phippeny (b. 1875 – d. 1942).
Lyman died April 21, 1846 at the Arizona Pioneers’ Home, Prescott, Arizona and is buried at Citizens Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona.
The back of the photograph lists his name and "ag 4 years."
