Description

Bertha M. Eichler (b. 1877 - d. 1947) was born June 26, 1877 at Fort Sill in Indian Territory, where her father would have been stationed. Fort Sill was established as a major United States Army post north of Lawton, Oklahoma, approximately 85 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. She was a daughter of Robert and Margaret Eichler. Robert was a soldier at Fort Whipple in Prescott, Arizona.

Research shows that she was married to two men. On March 21, 1891 she married Charles Stein.  Another listing shows her married to Joseph Grates who was deceased at the time of her death in 1947 in Prescott. She is buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. In 1920 she lived in Los Angeles, California; in 1940, she lived in Prescott. No information was found that she had children.
