John J. McCrea, Jr. (b.1899 - d.1951) was born on January 14, 1899 in Prescott, Arizona. He was the son of John J. McCrea, born in Iowa in 1865 and Mary Josephine Graney, born in Missouri in 1868.
John was registered for the draft during World War I and served as a Private in the Marines in California in 1920.
He and his mother were living in Los Angeles, California in 1930 and his occupation was as a carpenter in building construction.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "John J. Gramey McCrea".
John died on July 5, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. His death cerificate stated that he never married, he had lived in Los Angeles for 28 years, and he was a silk screen printer.
He was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.
