Description

Abbie Clay, given name Sally Abigale Clay, also known as Sara or Sarah Abigale Clay (b.1876 - d.1939) was born on August 8, 1876 in Arizona. She was the daughter of James Walter Clay, born on October 13, 1836 in Pennsylvania and Sarah (Graham) Clay, born on August 22, 1850 in Missouri.

The 1880 U.S. Census in Prescott, Arizona lists Abbie with her parents and siblings. She is on the 1882 and 1884 Yavapai, Arizona School Records.

Abbie married Harris Rupert Rich on August 22, 1897 in Escondido, California. They had two children, Frances and Melvin.

Handwriting on photograph reads: "Abbie Clay, March, 1878).

The 1910, 1920 and 1930 U.S. Census' show Abbie and her family living in California.

Abbie died on December 26, 1939 in Orange County, California. She was interred in the mausoleum at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, California.
