Nellie Jennings (b.1882 - d.unknown) was born in September, 1882 in Illinois. She was the daughter of E.M. Jennings, born in Illinois in 1858 and Mary Steadman (Todd) Jennings, born in New York in 1858.
Nellie's father, E.M. Jennings (Edwin Mitchell Jennings) owned the Jennings photograpy studio in Prescott. He purchased it from Edwin Baer in1891. Mrs. Jennings opened a school for select children in her home in 1889.
Handwriting on back of photograph reads: "Nellie Jennings, daughter of the photographer Jennings and his wife. Mrs. Jennings taught school at Congress, Arizona-about 1888. This child was born in Prescott, Arizona about 1891 or 1892 in a house near corner of Beach Place and Summit Street."
