Description

Edward Herbert Cook (b.1861 - d.1937) was born on June 26, 1861 in San Francisco, California. He was the son of Edward Joseph Cook, born in Alabama in 1825 and Caroline Bowers, born in Greenfield, New Hampshire in 1824.

Edward's parents moved to Prescott, Arizona in the 1860s. Edward Herbert is listed on the 1886 Voting Registration for Yavapai County, Arizona.

He married Moffet Rice in Prescott on January 30, 1887.

In 1917 and 1918, Edward applied for U.S. passports. His occupation was stated as being a mining engineer and owner and manager of the Topic Mining Company of New York and ore buying agent for the American Smelting Company. The passport was for his travels to Mexico, Central American and South America.

Handwriting on photograph reads: "Ed Cook".

Edward died on January 21, 1937 in Los Angeles, California. He was cremated.
