Sid Jay Cook, Jr. (b,1889 - d.1899), born in Prescott, Arizona, was the son of Sidney J.Cook, born in Washington Territory in January, 1864 and Katherine L. Cook, born in California in February, 1865. Sid and Katherine married in Prescott on September 8, 1887.
Sid J. Cook, Sr. was the foreman of the Dudes, a firefighting group in Prescott, in 1888. That year he opened an assay office in Prescott. He also had the contract to run the boarding house at the Senator mine in Prescott in 1890.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "Jay Cook, Born March 8, 1889. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sid J. Cook".
Sidney J. Cook, Jr. died on September 25, 1899. He was buried at Linn Grove
Cemetery in Greeley, Colorado.
