Description

Alta Hazel (Hubbs) Hunt (b.1889 - d.1923) was born in Kingman, Arizona on July 16,1889. She was the daughter of William Harvey Hubbs, born in 1855 in Tulare County, California and Johanna (Wilkinson) Hubbs, born in 1852 in Bloomfield, Iowa.

Alta took a 3 month sightseeing trip to Europe in 1910. Upon her return, she resumed her teaching in the Kingman, Arizona public school.

Alta married an Australian, Greville Bruce Hunt on May 16, 1915 in Kingman. They had a daughter, Elsie, who died at 23 days old.

Handwriting on photograph reads: "Alta Hazel Hubbs, August 1890".

Alta died on June 8, 1923 in Los Angeles, California. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman, Arizona.
