Rufus Elias Farrington (b.1833 - d.1899) was born on March 29, 1833 in Cherry Creek, New York. HIs father was Zenus Farington, born in New York in 1807 and his mother, Lovina Button, was born in New York in 1808..
Rufus married Mary Elizabeth Shivers and they had three children.
The 1880 US Census in Maricopa, Arizona lists him as a grocer. He is on the Maricopa, Arizona Voting Records from 1882-1896. He had a land assessment done in 1925.
