Fred Sattes & Hallie Engle
Fred Sattes (b.1849 - d.unknown) was born in December, 1849 in Germany, parents unknown. He is registered on the Yavapai County, Arizona Voting Records from 1880-1908.
Fred was part owner of the Golden Eagle Hotel in Prescott in 1896 and was the proprietor of the Union Saloon and Logdging House in Precott in 1901.
In 1888, he owned the Turkey Creek Mine.
He was one of the locators of the Bullwhacker Mine Company.
Fred married Maude Guill, a resident of San Francisco, California on October 31, 1899 in San Francisco. When she died in 1918, her death certificate stated she was divorced.
He served as Yavapai County Supervisor in 1905.
Fred was arrested in Prescott in 1908 on bribery charges. He was accused of bribery in a United Verde Mine case over a fight for District Attorney.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "Fred Sattes and Hallie Engle, Daughter Pink Engle".
The only information located about Hallie Engle in Prescott was an article in the Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner on 6-13-1894: "Grand Jury ignored the bill against Dr. Dawson on the charge of performing a criminal operation on Hallie Engle".
No additional information confirmend.
